Free casual running game
Craft Runner - Money Run 3D is a free-to-play arcade game from the Luster to Alive team. This casual game combines the signature voxel art of Minecraft Pocket Edition (MCPE) with the endless running that has taken the app marketplace by storm. Aside from its familiar design style and rather unoriginal gameplay, it does offer a lesson on making correct decisions for success.
Like most free games, especially for casual runners, Craft Runner - Money Run 3D is also virtually unplayable because of incessant ads. Alternatively, you can try Iron Suit: Superhero Simulator or Sandwich Runner 3D.
Guide your voxel character toward riches
The first thing to notice with Craft Runner - Money Run 3D is that it uses not only the instantly recognizable voxel art style from MCPE but the same exact assets. You can even use and see Steve himself as a playable character. Other characters appear in custom skins, which are made to better reflect the game's theme. You see a swaggered Billionaire skin or a Poor character with ragged clothes.
As for the gameplay, it perfectly rounds up the game as a child-friendly experience. Your character walks along a linear level. The task here is to collect bundles of cash along the way and choose the correct gates that will make you even richer. At the end of each stage, bonus scores are awarded based on the accumulated cash you have at that point.
Of course, the visual style and the gameplay premise can be immediately dismissed as unoriginal. Even so, it makes the game instantly appealing to younger audiences, with familiar characters and intuitive and easy gameplay. However, its more pressing issue is the prevalence of ads. Every other round, you get a fullscreen ad that is unskippable for a couple of seconds. In some instances, the full ad is unskippable.
Unoriginal but still fun
Before skipping Craft Runner - Money Run 3D on account of its gameplay and visuals, it’s worth noting that apps like this immediately cater to kids looking for a casual gameplay experience. It is easy to play and easier to like, if not for its frequent ads. The unskippable ads make the game tedious, negatively affecting the overall experience. Still, it’s worth a shot for those looking for a casual game.
